Walk with Dinosaurs is a "poop shower"

What a pile of crap this movie was to watch.
My 7yr old and 11yr old boys loved it, especially 5 min into the movie when the main character a baby dinosaur got pooped on by an adult. They called it a poop shower, my kids are still laughing about it.
The voice overs in this movie with Justin Long and John Leguizamo are so stupid. Its a bunch of cheesy 1 liners, it was painful for an adult to watch.
It would have been better with no voice overs and a narrator.
Don't waste your money on this pile of Dinosaur dung.

Anchorman 2 worth seeing more than once

It's is rare when the sequel is better than the first movie.
Empire Strikes Back is the only one I can think of that is better than the original.
If you like the type humor that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay write, then you will love this movie.
I will definitely go see it again
Once again you have to like this type of humor to love this movie.
It's great how it shows the sensationalism of the news and how it started.
Also, most of the movie was filmed in Atlanta and Jekyll Island
Most disappointing thing was there was no out takes during the credits.
There is one 10 second clip at the very end of the credits that was ok but not hilarious
The  DVD should have hours of extra footage and out takes

I give it a 8.5 out of 10

The Goldbergs are the 80's

If you grew up in the 80's and are not watching The Goldbergs , YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
Every episode I can recall a similar situation from my youth.
Do yourself a favor and watch this show to reminisce the good ole days

Hilarious Christmas episodes

Ok, I just watched 2 of the better Christmas TV episodes I have ever seen.
Both shows are among the funniest on TV, the Neighbors & Raising Hope.
Raising Hope had a great Grinch spin to it all in Dr Seuss type rhymes.
The Neighbors has a great Princess Leia tribute for all your Star Wars lovers.
Try to find on Hulu or fox app for Raising Hope, Abc app for Neighbors.

Best 3d movie EVER is Gravity

RUN to see the movie Gravity in 3d.
Only way to give this movie its justice is to see it in 3D. Holy cow, amazing.
This is what 3D experience was meant to be

If you have a kid that wants to go to space camp, save the $2500 pay the $10 and let them spend an hour and 1/2 in space. I got motion sickness from this movie. I really felt as if I was rolling around in outer space. It was insane.
I give it a 8 out of 10 for the special effects.
Clooney & Bullock don't hurt either.

GO SEE IT IN 3D!!!!

Prisoners, best movie of 2013 so far

Well I apologize for not doing this sooner. But I have not seen 1 single movie worthy of my time to write about.
Prisoners is a very good movie. Filmed in Conyers GA btw
Hugh Jackman steals the show with his portrayal of a Dad with a missing daughter. He is so intense and desperate. I could feel his pain jump off the screen. Being a dad myself, I would have probably done the crazy ass things he did too. In order to find my child.
A very good script that twist back and forth, just when you think you know "who done it", wrong you don't.
Best movie I have seen this year

Survive and Advance is great basketball

This is a must watch for any basketball fan.
Absolutely a great film about NC State team from 1983
Wow, they won so many games against so many teams that had better talent
True underdog story
Find it on ESPN and watch it!

Oscar predictions !

OK I have the ballot in front of me
I will predict the winner and my preferred choice as winner.
I will not bore you with things like sound & design winners

VISUAL EFFECTS
The winner will be Life of Pi and that is my choice as well
If you ask my 10yr old its Marvel's The Avengers, which had outrageous effects.

ORIGINAL SONG
the winner will be Skyfall, and that is my choice too.
Les Mis could get this as well.

CINEMATOGRAPHY
 my choice is Life of Pi, although Django is a close 2nd.

ADAPTED SCREEENPLAY
The winner and my choice is Silver Linings playbook.

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY
Tarantino is the man, the dude can write. Django should win hands down.

ANIMATED FEATURE
I really dropped the ball this year taking my kids to see these flicks.
My wife and kids all say Wreck it Ralph, but I have a feeling The Pirates Band of misfits wins
Those guys from Wallace and Grommet series are loved by the Academy

SUPPORTING ACTRESS
The winner and my choice is Anne Hathaway for Les Mis. Although I think Helen Hunt could be a sleeper pick

SUPPORTING ACTOR
there are soo many good ones in this catagory. Alan Arkin was my favorite but I don't think he will win. Christoph Waltz was amazing but the winner will be Tommy Lee Jones. I remember saying to myself as I left the theater, Tommy won an Oscar with that performance. The others I said they will get an oscar nod which they did.

ACTRESS
OK tough one, Jennifer Lawrence was fantastic and I would not be suprised if she won. But I don't think the academy voters will vote for the girl from the Hunger games. My choice and who I think will win is Jessica Chastain. She was brilliant, you felt her pain and angst in watching her hunt for Bin Laden.

ACTOR
My wife will tell you, I have a man crush on Bradley Cooper. He was awesome in SLP.
He would be my choice if it were not for Daniel Day Lewis. In a movie that is all talking and no action. He makes you feel like he is talking to you  and telling, you the viewer, a story as Lincoln. It was simply amazing acting at its finest.

DIRECTOR
My choice is Ang Lee, I thought Life of Pi in 3d was amazing film. But what Steven Spielberg did with Lincoln is sheer brilliance. For a film that is almost 3 hrs long and not a lick of action. The whole movie is storytellng and dialogue. He takes you into the room and makes you feel like you are a part of their conversations.

BEST PICTURE
My choice is Django, everything was excellent, writing, acting, soundtrack, cinematography, but I think in the end the last 10 min of graphic violence will be too much for it to win.
Silver Linings is a hot pick because any film that discusses mental health does well with the academy. Argo is loved my everyone who sees it. So the winner is....Lincoln. I think the academy goes with Spielberg as a way to honor all he has done in film.

Zero Dark 30 is long but so was getting Bin Laden

This movie is sooooo long with not a lot of action makes it hard to watch especially since you know what happens in the end. I think the point of the movie is to make you frustrated. It took so long and so much effort to get Bin Laden. There was 10yrs of looking for him , so I think the director was trying to make the veiwer uncomfortable.
After watching this movie it is amazing that we even caught the SOB.
I give it a 6.8 out 10

Best movie to watch with your wife--This is 40 , gets right to the heart of what marriage is and should be. Ups and downs , Highs and lows another Apatow gem

Best Cop movie --End of Watch was fantastic rent it now!

Best Kids movie--Rise of the Guardians, Tooth Fairy, Easter bunny, Santa Claus, jack frost battle evil boogie man.

Best movie about a true story--Argo , not zero dark thirty. Argo was a really good film and much better than ZDT in my opionion. Very intense and Alan Arkin was one of the best acting jobs of the year.

The E'scar for my favorite film of the year....Django
Writing was the best of any film by far and acting was incredible. Too much graphic violence at the end, but the writing and acting are SOO superior.

Django a great western. Graphic violence too much

The first thing that grabbed me was the opening song. It sounded like Elvis. The whole sound track was quite retro sounding. It was fascinating to me how well the sound track fit the movie.

Pure Tarantino at its best, the dialogue of his movies are unmatched.The writing is among the best films of the year and that is why it is up for an Oscar in best Original Screenplay.
All the actors are great Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio get well deserved Golden Globe nominations.

 I really enjoyed this movie and it was a great western until the end. The graphic violence in the last scenes went REALLY overboard. It was just too over the top. But that is Tarantino. Because of this it dropped the overall rating
what would have been a 9 drops to 8 out of 10.
